42nite: Nightlife, Club & Event Ticketing App

The challenge

42nite serves two audiences at once: club owners who want to fill their venues, and people looking for something to do tonight. Both needed one app, on iPhone and Android, plus a simple console to keep venues and events up to date.

A night out has a lot of steps: finding a place, checking what is on, buying a ticket, getting there. The app had to make all of them quick, on a phone, often at the last minute.

The approach

We designed and built native iOS and Android apps around discovery and tickets, with a Yii backend console where club owners manage their venues and events.

• Venue and event discovery by distance, with ratings, opening hours and contact details
• In-app ticket purchase, with tickets saved to Apple Wallet through PassKit
• “Ride there with Uber” on every venue
• A social feed where people follow venues and share posts from their night
• A backend console for club owners to manage venues, events and tickets
