The challenge
El Barco de Buba is a private nursery in La Laguna, Tenerife, caring for children from babies to three years old. Its play-based approach, qualified team and enrichment classes in yoga, English and music, along with a psychology service, deserved a website that feels as warm and welcoming as the centre itself.
Parents needed to see at a glance what each age group offers, what happens throughout the year and how to get in touch, while the nursery team needed a site they could keep fresh with new events and photos themselves.
The approach
We designed a playful, sea-themed identity for the website, built around the idea of “Buba’s boat”, with friendly illustrations of a boat, dolphin, octopus, starfish and clownfish. Each age group became its own “cabin” (camarote), every service got a dedicated page, and events, galleries, centre rules and forms are easy to find. We built it all on WordPress so the team can update content whenever they like.
