Cotax: Swiss Tax Return Calculator

The challenge

Swiss tax returns are complex. Cotax wanted to make them easy, simple, fast and stress-free: users enter their financial details and get an accurate result.

Behind the simple form sits a very large amount of tax data, and the calculation had to stay fast and correct for every user.

The approach

We paired a WordPress website with a Laravel calculation engine exposed through fast REST APIs, and designed the flow so entering financial details feels straightforward.
